THE FREE/SLOW UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW

In the Fall Semester 2010 the Free/Slow University of Warsaw will organize another series of Readings for Artworkers - seminars referring to the tradition of open universities, self-education artistic groups and free education (October - December 2010) - and a conference with workshops and presentations by international activists, artists and animators of culture (7-10 December 2010). The major issues of the Free/Slow University in the upcoming semester are: the ways of financing, producing and distributing art; recent changes in the circulation of culture, in the world of independent initiatives and in the official institutions of art and science; relations between culture, science and cognitive capitalism; copyright; living conditions of activists, authors and animators of culture.
